I have a horse in the race. I was the person who got to draft, pitch, and set up the Film Tax Credit in Nova Scotia back in the mid-nineties, and I got to be at the front line to see it grow our local industry from about $6m/year to over $60/ a year in the first couple years alone.
It was a spectacular success that put us on the world stage so to speak and after almost 30 years of success gives me more than enough confidence to imagine we can build on the foundation and experience to show the world a new, practical, and unique way forward for this vexing GMV issue and all it impacts.
